How to enroll in a course as a student?

Some courses are open to self-enrollment, while others will require an "Enrollment key". Some courses' teachers prefer enrolling students manually.
Not all courses are accessible. You can use some icons to fast judge which course is available for enrollment and access. The access differences between these icons will be explained below.
Type 1: Free access (the first course in the above screenshot)
You can access this course without restriction. This course is of Type 1.
Type 2: Unavailable to you (two courses in the middle of the first screenshot)
The course with only the Access button is basically not available to you because the course has been set to manually enroll students, or allow only a certain type of user group to enroll.
Type 3: Possible to enroll if you have the course key (the final course in the first screenshot)
The course is only accessible to users who know the course key provided by the course instructor(s).
